What is the Conversor and what Does it do?
The Conversor is a miniature radio microphone with a receiver that transmits sound directly to your hearing aid. The microphone can be hand-held or placed on a surface near to the sound source. It can be used in a variety of settings, whether in a one to one situation, a group discussion or a lecture hall. The Conversor reduces unwanted background noise and allows you to participate in most everyday situations by improving sound intelligibility. The package includes a Microphone Transmitter, Neck Loop Receiver plus a neck cord which plugs into the microphone, enabling hands-free operation by the person talking. Also supplied is a Carry Case in which the system can be kept when not in use.
How does it work?
By setting your hearing aid to "T", its microphone is switched off and the Conversor microphone takes over. This superior microphone can be used in a number of ways to improve your ability to hear.
